Our Team
Cara is the owner of Motion Giraffx and the brains behind the whole operation. Since 2014, she’s been realizing her dream of operating an animation powerhouse right here in Houston that tells visually stunning stories fast and affordably in a family-friendly agency environment. She’s French-Canadian (c’est vrai!), mom to two sweet boys, and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, so step in line, son. When she’s not kicking ass running the business, Cara can be found consuming too much Diet Coke or watching murder shows on Netflix with a glass of wine. Red wine.
Brad is our head motion designer and videographer, and father to two young boys. Named after a 1970s Motocross champion, he lives up to the hype, enthusiasm, and grit—but he can’t get a domain name to save his life. Brad would like you to know that he’s lost a game against a professional bowler by a single pin, and he can clap with one hand. Are these accomplishments related? We may never know.
An avid film, TV, and gaming buff, Sean claims to have “spent an unhealthy amount of time” playing the Metal Gear Solid Series. His favorite films include The Fisher King and Tekkon Kinkreet, and he loves the series Halt and Catch Fire. He’s our go-to for all things 2D animation, and he would like you all to know that he saw Drake in an airport before he was famous.
Lorena tells people that she's a Marvel fan to distract them from the fact that she's an actual super human. She's an editing-animating-filming-illustrating badass by day, and a stuffed animal crochet granny by night. Her dual Mexican-American identity gives her super strength to help compensate for her bum knee that killed her career in professional soccer. The world rejoices that "multimedia artist" was her plan B.
The ghostwriter behind the whole operation, Corinne makes sure we're compliant with the law, company policies, and personal development goals so that we can focus the rest of our attention on having fun and telling cool stories. She's a badass Canadian vegan grandma boss that keeps the show going behind the scenes.
