Architectural Visualizations - Animation & Motion Graphics

You’ve seen those home improvement shows where they show an old, dilapidated house, and then transition to a computer animated graphic of what this house could look like if certain changes were used.  One quick example of this is when Chip and Joanna Gaines on HGTV’s Fixer Upper present their plan to the client with sketched 3D renderings of what their rundown house could look like with their proposed layout and fittings—that’s what we do.

When you drive past a construction site and there’s a big billboard showing what the new building will look like- that’s what we do.

And there is much more to Architectural Visualization. Let’s take a deep dive:

What Does ArchViz Include?

Archviz projects can range from seeing if the patio furniture you have your eye on will fit on your slab, to choosing paint colors for your kitchen cabinets, to visualizing what the new city skyline will look like with an added skyscraper, to presenting investors with the various aspects of a new master planned community when placed over an existing map.

In other words, ArchViz is everything about architectural visualization from the very small issues of furniture placement to the very large renderings of new building projects placed into an existing cityscape.

What ArchViz Projects Has Motion Giraffx Produced?

One of our most sprawling architectural visualizations is the Prairieland Village development, a community of 7,.000 homesites in Bridgeland’s growing community. In this ArchViz you can see the seamless blend of computer rendered 3D graphics combined with real photo and video taken at the site. As the homeowners in the video stroll the sidewalks in the development (which is still under construction in real life at the time of writing this), ArchViz shows a sky-down view of the entire lake system, a community rendering showing the houses, cars, and people in the development as it will look once it’s complete.

In an unconventional ArchViz project our video in the TV show Built For Business shows not renovated buildings, developments and skylines, but rather, renovated food trucks! With 3D animations we could see it all in 3D space, able to zoom in and fly between furniture, look through the windows –and very literally be able to peek our heads through the walls to see the interior. It’s fully immersive and gives a wondrous quality to the final product.

We have done 3D renderings for a resort company to explain the history and heritage of their brand, with ArchViz renders of those buildings showing their development over time and on location.

And 3D renders don’t have to be shiny renders of the future of skylines. We can use 3D renderings to create historical towns, ancient buildings, to give you the sense that you are walking the roads of ancient Rome, or can put you in the fortifications of the Revolutionary War. 3D animation helps to recreate what was as much as what can be.

For a project currently in development, Motion Giraffx has also done innovative work with drone flyover footage of undeveloped areas, showing, as the drone passes by above, the outlines of what will be built in the future and the labels identifying each and every piece of the new construction. This early type of previsualization gives investors and potential homeowners an idea of what to expect about the development, how it will be placed geographically to interact with existing roadways or landmarks.
