Motion Giraffx: Social Media Content

While any of the animations that we make can be great assets to social media campaigns, we often make animation content exclusively for our clients’ social media.

These are the videos that you see while scrolling Twitter, flipping through Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn but that you won’t see on any other platform. These are social media animation services, and it’s something that we specialize in.

What Can Animation Services for Social Media Do For You and Your Brand?

Some of the social media animations that our clients are clamoring for are:

Series:

Frequently, we’ll produce a series of animations meant to be doled out one at a time as part of a long-term or seasonal campaign. Often, we’ll have customers prep a backlog of social media content for a specific holiday like Christmas or Black Friday, and begin sharing one video at a time, building a story, or a through-line. Customers will follow certain animated characters as they prepare: stocking shelves, wrapping presents, making food, or attending holiday parties.

Other successful series that we have worked on have focused on much longer periods of time, like the Phillips 66 Safety Series. In this series of short loops, we promoted American Heart Month, Snowstorm Prep and Tips, Fall Prevention at Home, and Home Heating Safety. All of these have a common theme and style in their color palette, their character design, and their imagery–which link them together as a series–but discuss many different safety topics.

A similar animation social media video series was put out for the Summer and Fall by Allpoint, an ATM company. The series showed short but intriguing depictions of that season’s activities (Fall showed a football game, a Halloween party, a pumpkin patch, a Thanksgiving dinner, and a Christmas tree), and each video in the series is linked to one another in style and presentation.

Corporate Events

Another big part of our animation services for social media is corporate events: things that you wouldn’t put out on your customer-facing Twitter account, but which you would want to share around the office on the work Slack, Teams, or internal emails. These might be to advertise the upcoming summer barbeque for employees and their families, or to remind people of new policies, or any number of other internal announcements..

Animated videos of internal team-building events gets people hyped for the activity as well as a documented memory of the fun they had.

We have also made videos introducing new team members to the company, whether it’s a new CEO coming in who wants a warm welcome with a share-worthy video, or a new member of the ad team who is brand new out of college and just getting their first full time gig. Companies can create great support for employees by highlighting them through these social-friendly videos. Announcing new team members to the company is a great way to engage followers and humble-brag about your growing business or new service offerings.

Animated Posters

And don’t think that all of our animation services are mini films. Often, some of our most effective animations are animated posters that have a dynamic background and moving text. These can be used at tradeshows to get attention, or as images in emails–whether sent around the office or sent to your whole email list. By making these posters attractive and shareable on social media, we are able to harness the power of the network, having them spread the message for you.

Still Renders

And sometimes, we do straight posters–images that DON’T move and animate–but which utilize the great creative team that we have here at Motion Giraffx. Adding these images to email campaigns, Tweets, Facebook posts, or anywhere else can be a cost-effective, fast way of content creation for your social platforms. If we’ve done a larger-scale project for you already, exporting still frames of the animation can be an investment that keeps on giving.
