Who We Are
Motion Giraffx, LLC ("Motion Giraffx," "we," "us," or "our") is an animation and video production studio based in Houston, Texas. We create 2D animation, 3D animation, motion graphics, and video production for businesses.
This Privacy Policy applies to motiongiraffx.com only. It explains what information we collect when you visit, contact us, or book a consultation here, how we use it, and the choices you have. This site has no user accounts, sells no products, and processes no payments. Client projects are governed by separate written agreements, not this policy.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
You provide personal information on this site in three ways:
- Contact forms: your name, email address, phone number, and message.
- Quote request form: your contact details, the type of project, timeline, budget range, and a short project description.
- Appointment booking: our appointment page embeds a Calendly scheduler. When you book, Calendly collects the details you enter and shares the booking with us.
Our forms include a Cloudflare Turnstile check and a hidden honeypot field to block spam bots. The honeypot collects nothing from real visitors.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the site, our analytics and hosting providers automatically collect standard usage data: device and browser type, pages visited, referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit. When analytics are allowed, we also record interaction events such as button clicks, form starts, and video plays. Our host, Netlify, also processes standard server access logs.
Cookies and similar technologies
Described in the next section.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
- Google Analytics sets cookies and shares usage data (including device information and IP-derived data) with Google to help us understand traffic and how the site is used. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy. Google Analytics is active by default and continues collecting data until you decline it (via the notice or the "Your Privacy Choices" control) or, if you have not yet made a choice on this site, your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. A saved acceptance is changed only through the control.
- Microsoft Clarity shows us how visitors use the site (where you click, how far you scroll, and anonymized session replays) so we can find and fix confusing pages. Replays mask what you type into forms, and by default also mask numbers and email addresses shown on a page. Microsoft keeps recordings for 30 days (up to 9 months for recordings we favorite or Microsoft samples). Clarity sets first-party cookies (
_clck,_clsk) and Microsoft advertising cookies (MUID,CLID,SM,MR,ANONCHK) while analytics are allowed. Like Google Analytics, Clarity is on by default; see Your Privacy Choices below for what happens when you decline. Microsoft's practices are described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. - Pirsch Analytics is cookieless. It gives us aggregate traffic statistics without personal profiles, persistent identifiers, or cross-site tracking. Pirsch's practices are described in the Pirsch Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile runs a bot check on our forms and may store a challenge token in your browser. Turnstile is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Calendly powers appointment booking. The embedded scheduler loads from calendly.com and may set its own cookies. Calendly's practices are described in the Calendly Privacy Notice.
- Vimeo hosts most of the videos on this site in its embedded player; a few are hosted on YouTube. Each may set its own cookies and collect viewing data when you play a video, as described in the Vimeo Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Browser localStorage: the site saves your analytics consent choice in your browser's localStorage under the key
privacyConsent. This value stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and is not used for tracking. It is not a cookie. Clearing your browser data removes it.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries, prepare quotes, and hold consultations you book
- Provide and plan the services you ask about
- Send occasional follow-up or marketing communications about our services
- Understand site traffic and improve the site
- Measure our advertising (see How We Share Information)
- Protect the site against spam, bots, and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
Marketing Communications
If you contact us or book a consultation, we may follow up on your inquiry and occasionally reach out about our services. You can opt out at any time by replying to any message from us or emailing info@motiongiraffx.com. We will stop promptly.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it in the following situations:
- Service providers that run this site: Basin receives, delivers, and stores form submissions; Cloudflare provides Turnstile bot protection; Calendly handles appointment booking; Vimeo and, for a few videos, YouTube host and play our videos; Pirsch Analytics, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity provide website analytics (Clarity adds session replay and heatmaps); and Netlify hosts the site and processes server logs. Each provider processes data only to perform its service.
- Providers that deliver fonts, scripts, and images to your browser (such as web fonts, script libraries, the review widget, and video thumbnails), which receive your IP address and browser details when the files load.
- Google, for ad measurement: while analytics are allowed, the email address you enter on a form may be shared with Google in hashed form so Google Ads can measure whether your inquiry followed one of our ads. Declining analytics (via the notice or the "Your Privacy Choices" control) stops this, as does a Global Privacy Control signal if you have not yet made a choice on this site; if you accepted earlier, use the control. Google's handling is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Motion Giraffx, our visitors, or others.
- Business transfer: if Motion Giraffx is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Data Retention
We keep form submissions, booking details, and related correspondence as long as needed to handle your inquiry and maintain our business relationship, and as required to meet legal, accounting, or record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete or anonymize the information.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption across the site, reputable service providers, and limits on who can access submissions. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Texas residents (TDPSA)
If you live in Texas, you have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal data and access it
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal data
- Delete personal data you provided or that we obtained about you
- Obtain a portable copy of your personal data
- Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling
Sharing a hashed email address with Google for ad measurement (see How We Share Information) and the Microsoft advertising cookies set by Microsoft Clarity may count as targeted advertising under the TDPSA. Declining analytics via the notice or the "Your Privacy Choices" control opts you out, as does a Global Privacy Control signal if you have not yet made a choice on this site; if you accepted earlier, use the control.
If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by emailing info@motiongiraffx.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to appeals within the time required by law. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and access a copy of it
- Ask us to delete your personal information
- Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money, but Google Analytics cookie data, the hashed email address shared with Google for ad measurement, and the Microsoft advertising cookies set by Microsoft Clarity may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out as described under Your Privacy Choices below.
- Exercise these rights without discrimination
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing if you have not yet made a choice on this site; if you accepted analytics earlier, use the "Your Privacy Choices" control to opt out.
How to exercise your rights
Email info@motiongiraffx.com. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming you control the email address tied to your submission, and respond within the timelines required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable where the law allows).
Your Privacy Choices
- Analytics cookies and targeted advertising: the site shows a consent notice on your first visit and a "Your Privacy Choices" control in the footer that you can use anytime to accept or decline analytics. Continuing to browse past the notice (scrolling, opening another page, or leaving the page) counts as acceptance. Your choice applies to both Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, site-wide. You can also block cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out tools.
- Declining stops Google Analytics from collecting further data and stops the hashed email address from being shared with Google. If Microsoft Clarity is already running on that page, it continues without cookies for the rest of that page view; on every later page load it does not load at all. Google Analytics cookies already set may remain in your browser until they expire; you can clear them via your browser settings.
- Global Privacy Control: we treat a GPC signal from your browser as a valid opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising if you have not yet made a choice on this site: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity do not load, and only clicking Accept counts as acceptance. If you accepted analytics earlier, that saved choice stays in effect; use the "Your Privacy Choices" control to decline.
- Pirsch and localStorage require no opt-out. Pirsch collects no personal profiles, and the localStorage value never leaves your device.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through our forms or booking tool, email us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
This site links to external websites, including our social profiles, client websites, and the platforms named above. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. The date always reflects the latest revision.
