What technical animation actually solves
Most industrial products fail to sell for the same reason: nobody outside engineering can see how they work. The tool operates two miles underground. The process happens inside a sealed vessel. The system spans four facilities and a control room.
A cutaway 3D animation removes that constraint. It shows the mechanism, the fluid path, the failure mode, and the fix, in the order a buyer needs them. That is the whole job.
We have been doing it since 2014 for energy and industrial leaders, and it is the work our team is best at.
How we work with technical teams
We read the engineering first
Send us the CAD, the spec sheet, the P&ID, the patent filing. We would rather start from source material than from a marketing brief that has already lost the detail.
Every project opens with a writing pass so the sequence is right before a single frame moves.
Accuracy is not negotiable
Your subject-matter expert reviews the storyboard and the animatic before final render. If the flow direction is wrong or the tool actuates in the wrong order, we find it at storyboard, not at delivery.
You talk to the animator
No account layer between your engineer and ours. When a shot needs reframing, the note goes straight to the person who can reframe it.
We have never missed a deadline
Trade show dates, earnings calls, product launches. 3D work runs 4 to 8 weeks, and we have not missed one yet.

2D, 3D, or both
Not every technical story needs 3D. A process flow, a market map, or a safety procedure often reads better as 2D motion graphics and costs less to produce.
Physical mechanisms, cutaways, and anything where geometry carries the meaning need 3D animation. Most of our industrial projects end up as a hybrid, with 3D for the hardware and 2D for the context around it.

Common questions from technical teams
Industrial animation is 3D or 2D animation built to explain equipment, processes, and systems that are difficult or impossible to film. It covers cutaway views of sealed machinery, fluid and material flow, assembly and maintenance sequences, and full-facility process walkthroughs. The goal is comprehension, not spectacle.
Yes, and we prefer it. We regularly work from STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, and Inventor exports. Working from your actual geometry means the animation matches the product rather than approximating it. If CAD is not available we can model from drawings, photographs, and spec sheets.
We sign NDAs as a matter of course and have worked under them for energy majors and defense suppliers since 2014. For export-controlled programs, tell us at first contact so we can scope who touches the files before any material is transferred.
Typically four to eight weeks from kickoff to final delivery, depending on shot count and how much modeling is required from scratch. Our pricing page breaks down what drives that range. We have never missed a delivery date.
Yes. Product animation shows how one piece of equipment works. Process animation shows how a sequence runs across equipment, sites, or phases, and is usually what teams need for training, regulatory submissions, and investor material. We build both, often in the same project.
Your engineer will. We build a review checkpoint into the storyboard and animatic stages specifically so your subject-matter expert catches technical errors before render time, when changes are cheap.
