SLB Keep It Moving: Frac Fluid Delivery 3D Animation
Case study SLB Frac Fluid Delivery System Service 3D Animation Industry Energy, Oil & Gas SLB launched its Cameron frac fluid delivery system at the SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference in The Woodlands, Texas, and the 3D models for the launch video arrived 18 days before it was due. Everything from script to final render stayed inside Motion Giraffx, and the film speaks to oil and gas operators, completion engineers and wellsite managers.
It opens on a snowy wellsite with the frac equipment picked out in blue. "Keep it moving" is the line it returns to as the narrator walks through a fully electric pad that is simple to set up, with fewer hoses, less equipment and no personnel in the field. Fluid flows from well to well, a cutaway opens SLB's electric valve built to handle sand, and a control interface shows real-time, cloud-connected monitoring before the camera pulls out over the whole pad.
The craft call was color. We isolated every piece of Cameron equipment in cobalt blue against a white, snow-covered pad framed by hand-drawn evergreens, so the product reads first even at trade show viewing distance. Ticking percussion sits under the "every second matters" message, and two corrected models meant two full re-renders inside the same deadline.
A launch at a crowded conference leaves seconds to be noticed. For equipment that has to stand out on a busy pad, 3D animation gives us control over every color in the frame.
